Britain is known for inventing things and throwing it away sooner than later because of their mental mindset in reaping what others sow (and also via the worship of mammon).

I'd love to see Parliament soak the "royals" for everything and put them to work. Britain needs its Hovercraft fleet and its old industrial base more than it needs parasitic imposter "royals". I'd give anything for MI-6 to go after the House of Rothschild, declaring Force Majeure and repudiation of all their claims to the U.K., whatever it may be. The U.K. has lost everything to those bloody bastards.

We suffer the same problems in France, the last example is vocal management for computers. A young french girl have created this device for disabled people, and as french government refused to pay her enough, she moved to USA, and now, all military aircraft are vocally controlled to improve performances.....

Britain just throws away all its industrial innovation and leadership, from the great ships, automotive industry, aviation industry, and the hovercraft for what? The profits aren't high enough for Britain's parasitic creditors? If anything is an iconic symbol of a nation, then it must be kept on, damn the banks! Britain throws away everything of value but keeps the parasitic "royals". The House of Windsor isn't even British! They come from imposter houses Saxe-Coburg and Gotha you bloody fools!

I miss them too, and with all economics crisis, we are far to see hovercraft again on the Channel.

And the replacement catamaran service was slower, took ages to load and unload and was too expensive so that collapsed a few years later. End of Hoverspeed as a company... There was never any better way to cross the channel than by hovercraft,I used it dozens of times with and without the car,it was always great fun and very fast, but bumpy when rough.Miss these machines very much. They are preserved and working at the Hovercraft museum at Lee on Solent near Southampton,UK

That's an incredible machine. too bad the 'overcraft doesn't run in the channel anymore. I want to own one someday (smaller than that of course)
